Oh, and by the way, I officially Do Not Like this cold and torrents of rain thing happening in NYC as I type.

Make it stop please.

Thank you.

Spent the day at the Westminster show at Madison Square Garden.

I realize that photographing dogs is similar, in some ways, to photographing poker players.

Seriously.

Smudgie the bull terrier was all dressed up for Valentine's Day, a holiday I don't really care for. However, he was just so adorable I couldn't resist.

There is nothing in the world like Westminster. It's crowded, noisy, and full of people who treat their dogs like royalty - and the dogs, for the most part, seem to believe they are royalty.

Tomorrow, the Hounds.

samurai photographer goes to Central Park

Since it would be too easy to sit home and watch poker all day, I got out of my nice, comfy chair and went to Central Park. I did it mostly to scope out how the Gates are going to be situated, so I can go back when they are unfurled and do a day of informed shooting.

The park was loaded with people, making me beat a hasty retreat back to my nice, comfy chair and the promise of poker on TV (no football for me, bleah) but not before I saw some interesting things. You can see the rest at my flickr album.
